Holly had a very easy pregnancy and gave birth on the rug in front of the fireplace in the living room with her mother, Daisy, in attendance as it was her first litter. Daisy never left her side and helped wash and settle the kittens. They were inseparable, taking it in turns to sit with the babies, Daisy gave her daughter a rest now and then - and always snuggled up to her at night. The two queens lay with the kittens between them, keeping them lovely and warm.
These kittens have been the heaviest we've ever had at Ulvika! Weighing in at 180g each, they had a wonderful start in life and are absolutely captivating. They look very like their mother.

A proud mother....
Eyes open on Day 10
Donald, Daphne and Didi are nearly three weeks old and have moved downstairs to get to know their extended family. Daisy and Holly are still raising them together. The kittens are stomping their way round the pen and taking more notice of their surroundings.
